Research Assistant Position: Language Acquisition, Individual Differences and Pre-texts

Professor Doris Sommer and Viviane Gontijo are looking for an undergraduate assistant to work on a research project that examines Language Anxiety, teaching and learning of Portuguese and English in Brazil. Undergraduate assistant will contribute to the project by engaging in library research, data transcription and analysis. The position should commence no later than (February 20), 2017, and will continue until (June 9), 2017 – with a possibility to be extended until the Fall semester. It is expected that the selected candidate will be available to do project-related tasks for approximately 4-5 hours per week on a flexible schedule. The candidate must be interested in language education and arts, who is in residence with an active enrollment status for the 2016-2017 academic year. Students in psychology, linguistics, anthropology, history, political science, public health, and other social science and humanities fields are especially encouraged to apply.
