**TO-DO CHECKLIST BY YEAR**  
  
If you are in or considering being in an MBB academic program (a track or the secondary field), these are the basics you should attend to by year.  
  
**First Year**

- Take [Psychology 1/Introduction to Psychological Science](/pages/undergraduate-foundation-courses) (offered both semesters).
- Begin exploring MBB-related concentration options ([concentrations with tracks](/pages/tracks)) through course work, advising, and concentration websites.
- Check out program information on our [website](/) here.
- Sign up for both our mailing lists, [track/secondary program announcements](https://harvard.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9FEPBj3mL7d2yJ7?Q_JFE=qdg) and [general and event announcements](https://calists.harvard.edu/mailman/listinfo/mbbug-list).
- Consider becoming involved in the MBB-affiliated student organization [the Society for Mind, Brain, and Behavior (HSMBB)](http://hsmbb.org/).
- Come to [MBB](/calendar "Upcoming Events") and [HSMBB](http://hsmbb.org/) events!

  
**Sophomore Year**

- Take [Neuroscience 80/Neurobiology of Behavior (aka MCB 80)](/pages/undergraduate-foundation-courses).
- To pursue an [MBB track](/pages/tracks), choose a participating concentration (Computer Science, History of Science, Human Evolutionary Biology, Linguistics, Neuroscience, Philosophy, Psychology) (deadline Thursday, November 14th, 2019).
- To pursue the [MBB secondary field](/pages/secondary-field), register on [my.harvard.edu](https://my.harvard.edu/) ([instructions here](https://harvard.service-now.com/ithelp?id=kb_article&sys_id=e181be09db390bc4a752f1a51d9619f2)) once you have declared a concentration.
- Come to [MBB](/calendar "Upcoming Events") and [HSMBB](http://hsmbb.org/) events!

  
**Junior Year**

- Take an [MBB interdisciplinary seminar.](/seminars)
- Consider applying for a [Mary Gordon Roberts Thesis Fellowship](/pages/summer-thesis-awards) for the summer (deadline Wednesday, March 25th, 2020). All track students and those secondary students considering writing MBB-related theses are eligible.
- Attend the [junior symposium](/pages/junior-symposium) (required for track students, recommended for secondary students).
- Come to [MBB](/calendar "Upcoming Events") and [HSMBB](http://hsmbb.org/) events!

  
**Senior Year, Track Students**

- Write an MBB-related thesis approved by your concentration.
- Complete [track/concentration course requirements](/pages/tracks).
- Attend [MBB senior workshops](/thesis.workshops).
- Complete [certificate application](/pages/tracks) (deadline Friday, April 3rd, 2020).
- Come to [MBB](/calendar "Upcoming Events") and [HSMBB](http://hsmbb.org/) events!
- Celebrate completing your MBB program at our senior recognition ceremony (Wednesday, May 27th, 2020).

  
**Senior Year, Secondary Field Students**

- Complete secondary field [course requirements](/pages/secondary-field).
- If you have not already done so, declare your secondary field in [my.harvard.edu](https://my.harvard.edu/) (deadline Wednesday, April 1st, 2020; [instructions here](https://harvard.service-now.com/ithelp?id=kb_article&sys_id=e181be09db390bc4a752f1a51d9619f2)).
- Complete your secondary field information form (deadline Friday, April 3rd, 2020).

- Celebrate completing your MBB program at our senior recognition ceremony (Wednesday, May 27th, 2020).
