This course will cover the neural basis of sensation and perception, focusing on how the outer world is mapped onto the cerebral cortex. We will examine how our behavior can influence sensory maps. We will also discuss disease, tricks (perceptual illusions), and "different" senses. Prerequisite: Life and Physical Sciences A or Life Sciences 1a, MCB 80, and permission of the instructor.
