Research Assistants: Language Development

Research Assistants: Language Development
Prof. Jesse Snedeker, Language Develoment Lab, Lab for Develomental Studies, Psychology/FAS
fall 2019

What we Do: We study language development and processing in children and adults. Some of our current projects include researching how people represent events linguistically, how and when children start using presuppositions, and what effect parent speech has on child language development. Duties: RAs work one-on-one with a research mentor for 9 hours per week and attend one lab meeting (approximately 1.5 hours) per week. RAs recruit and schedule child and adult participants, test participants, code data, and help create stimuli for new studies. Our ideal RA is reliable, organized, and comfortable with children. Anyone interested in developmental psychology and/or linguistics is encouraged to apply! To Apply: Please contact Briony Waite (bwaite@fas.harvard.edu) to express interest and to receive an application. Priority will be given to applications received by September 3rd. (posted 8/2019)
