Research Assistant Position: Human Perceptions of Dog Behavior

The Canine Brains Project (Dept. Human Evolutionary Biology) is seeking a research assistant for a project on human perceptions of dog behavior. **Responsibilities**: These include qualitative coding and data analysis for a large survey dataset of dog guardian descriptions of their pets’ behavior. **Qualifications**: Desired qualifications for this position include an interest in data analysis, qualitative data methods, dog behavior, or people’s perceptions of animals. Previous experience with qualitative coding or survey data analysis is appreciated but not required. **Additional Information:** Position is 10-14 hours weekly, with pay starting at $17 per hour. Position can be remote or in-person. The Research assistant on this project can expect to learn best practices in data management and open science, hone analysis and R coding skills, and acquire critical research experience in preparation for graduate school.
