 Research Assistant Position: Human Social Behavior

This is not a lab position. Professor Wrangham is retired and working alone. He is seeking a research assistant to help answer original questions about the dynamics and consequences of human coalitional psychology by surveying literature in anthropology, sociology, political science and related social sciences. RA’s work will contribute to a book on the evolution of human social structure, including material on law, religion and patriarchy. Successful RA will be encouraged to co-author one or more papers stemming from this research. **Responsibilities:** Research assistant responsibilities include capacity for independent research, coding of material from on-line sources or books, tabulation of data, summarizing results, and designing new searches. Research assistant will be expected to meet in person or on screen with Professor Wrangham up to once per week. **Requirements and Expectations:** Expectation is for ~ 8 hours per week. A commitment for two terms is preferred. Prior experience with e-HRAF would be ideal but is not required. **Additional Information:** Position is unpaid. Available for course credit as MBB 90r.
