The Laboratories of Cognitive Neuroscience, under the direction of Charles A. Nelson, Ph.D., seek 2 part-time research assistants for a research study examining how children’s thinking, behaviors, and ability to regulate their emotions develop over the first three years of life. RAs will gain knowledge and skills to analyze parent-child interactions and use various datasets to explore sources of variation in early cognitive and language development. Duties: Analyzing videotaped parent-child interactions and analyzing data collected through surveys, neuroimaging tasks, and behavioral assessments. Requirements: We are seeking self-motivated and detail-oriented individuals who are passionate about child development. This position starts in August/September, and a commitment for 10-15 hours/week is required. A successful applicant must be a native/bilingual speaker of Bengali. A B.A. or B.S. in linguistics, psychology, human development, or a related field is desirable but not required. Additional Information: RAs can work remotely or in person (office space is available in our Brookline lab).
