The Integrated Brain Health Clinical and Research Program (IBHCRP) at MGH is excited to announce new volunteer opportunities for student volunteers! IBHCRPis a clinical, research and training program. Our mission is to preserve and promote brain health through cutting edge mind-body and lifestyle interventions. We serve individuals on the continuum from health to illness. Dr. Ana-Maria Vranceanu is the director of the IBHCRP and serves as Principal Investigator on the research studies. The volunteer interns for IBHCRP will work on projects in integrated brain health, including studies of behavioral health interventions integrated into medical practices. Responsibilities: Volunteers will be responsible for: recruiting and retaining patients for ongoing clinical trials; conducting, transcribing and coding qualitative interviews; working on ongoing research projects (systematic reviews, empirical papers); assisting with grant submissions; assisting with other tasks as needed. There are ample opportunities for publications or presentations for those interested. Requirements and Expectations: The ideal volunteer is outgoing, and energetic, with excellent social skills, curious and excited to learn. Volunteers must be detail-oriented, and able to work independently in fast-paced, flexible environments. We are flexible with hours needed, but the ideal candidate could commit to volunteer 1 – 2 days (8-16 hours) per week. Attendance of Monday team meetings (10:30-11:30am) and Friday mentoring meetings (12-1) in person or via telephone is encouraged. Additional Information: This position is an unpaid volunteer role. This position is ideally suited for students who intend to pursue graduate training in clinical psychology or medical school.
