Full-Time Research Assistant for Neuroscience Laboratory The Neural Dynamics of Control Laboratory with the Center for Children and Families seeks a full-time research assistant. The successful candidate will work primarily with Dr. George Buzzell and other members of the NDCLab, including graduate students and undergraduate volunteers; the role will also collaborate closely with Dr. Jeremy Pettit and the Child Anxiety and Phobia Program. Responsibilities: This individual will support a multi-year NIMH R01 grant that seeks to understand the longitudinal relations among brain, behavior, and the emergence of social anxiety during adolescence. This individual will assist in participant recruitment, screening, and scheduling, by way of phone, text, email, or in-person methods, in English and/or Spanish. They will carry-out in-person and/or remote data collection, including the collection of EEG data, survey assessments, video/audio recording, and other measures, and will be responsible for performing quality control, as well as organizing and backing up data. They may also assist in the processing/analysis of EEG data. Additional duties include assisting in the maintenance of EEG equipment, monitoring supplies/materials and assisting in placing orders, and performing other related duties as needed. Requirements and Expectations: Required Qualifications: These include (1) a Bachelor's degree; (2) must be able to work evening and weekend hours to facilitate data collection from children and families; (3) prior experience collecting EEG data within a research or clinical setting; (4) very organized and high attention to detail; (5) tech-savvy and a quick learner of new technologies; (6) excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skill; (7) ability to lead/organize others, including creating/implementing organizational systems; (8) professional, positive, and flexible attitude; and (9) ability to multitask and prioritize, as well as work independently under minimal supervision or as part of a team. Ideal Qualifications: These include (1) bilingual in English and Spanish; (2) prior experience working with children/families within a research or clinical setting; (3) prior experience analyzing/interpreting EEG data; (4) experience with computer programming; (4) experience with data management or statistical software.
