Research Assistant Positions: Digital Therapeutics
Dr. Amanda Collins, Mood and Behavior Lab, Massachusetts General Hospital / Medical School
spring 2025
We are currently looking for research assistants (RA) to join us at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Our current projects, led by Dr. Amanda C. Collins, are focused on using digital therapeutics (DTx) to treat depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders in adults, as well as the application of ecological momentary assessments (EMAs) and passive sensing data to predict psychopathology and affect. Responsibilities: RAs will have the opportunity to assist in the development and deployment of DTx, including both (a) a DTx to target reward dysfunction in depression and cannabis use and (b) a generative AI chatbot to deliver therapy for mental health. RAs may also have opportunities to assist in other aspects of projects, including monitoring data collection and compliance for EMAs and passive sensing data, participant consents, and clinical assessments. RAs who are involved in the lab for multiple semesters may have the opportunity to take on more advanced training opportunities, as well as opportunities to be involved in preparing manuscripts for publication or submitting conference abstracts. Requirements and Expectations: Currently, all research projects involve remote data collection, so there is no requirement for in-person work. RAs will be required to devote at least 10 hours/week on various projects and responsibilities, including 1-2 project meetings per week via Zoom. Additional Information: This position can be offered as remote or hybrid and is offered for volunteering or course credit. Location: Massachusetts General Hospital.
