Radcliffe Research Partnership Program, Radcliffe Institute
Fall 2019 and spring 2020, paid positions – applications due Wednesday 28 August

As a Harvard College student, you can be part of a research program that students have called “rewarding,” “unique,” and “amazing.” You can work side by side with a Radcliffe Institute fellow. Our Radcliffe Research Partnership program matches students with leading artists, scholars, scientists, and professionals. The partnership is designed to be mutually beneficial. Fellows act as mentors, while students provide research assistance, acquire valuable research skills, and participate in the Institute’s rich intellectual life. The partnerships mirror the multidisciplinary nature of the Institute with project topics in the arts; gender studies; the humanities; public policy; and science. Projects: Many are available. Those that may especially interest MBB students include Long-Term Studies of the Tool Behavior of Wild New Caledonian Crows; Tool Behavior in Humans and Other Animals; Understanding the Form and Function of Animal Tools; Exploring Cross-Linguistic Patterns in Grammar and Vocabulary through Data: Body Partonomy; Enduring Stigma: Historical Perspectives on Disease Meanings and Their Impact; Toward Speech Recognition of the Italian Language Based on Detection of Landmarks and Other Acoustic Cues to Features; Representation and Materialization of Interdisciplinary Matter; Attributes of Leadership Responsiveness to Evidence; and Addictive Stimulants in an Age of Global Capitalism: History and Biotechnology of the “Always On” Self in East Asia. Additional Information: As a Radcliffe research partner, you will be paid $15 per hour and work an average of 8 to 12 hours a week under the supervision of a Radcliffe fellow.
