Research Technician I Position: Child Social Development

full-time, post-graduation (beginning August 2019)


In this role, you will report to the principal investigator (Dr. Jamie Ostrov) and Research Support Specialist and will assist them with the coordination of the daily functions of the research project, while also supporting the interview and psychophysiology data collection in local child care centers. This position will also involve data coding, entry, and management as well as supporting the qualtrics electronic data collection platform within the laboratory. Incumbent must be able to work independently with moderate supervision, and willing to commit to at least 1 year in the position. Requirements and Expectations: Minimum qualifications: (1) BA/BS in Psychology; (2) minimum of 2 years research experience in social development field; (3) experience working with children within a research setting; (4) extensive knowledge of Microsoft office; and (5) extensive knowledge of SPSS. Preferred qualifications: (1) Experience with psychophysiological assessments with children; (2) experience with structured interview assessments with children; (3) experience with school-based research; (4) experience working with young children (3-5-year-olds) in a research setting; (4) honors thesis in psychology; (5) independent research experience; and (6) knowledge of qualtrics and Mplus and basic website design.
