I Am Human: Virtual Panel Discussion

Date:

Wednesday, April 21, 2021, 4:00pm to 5:00pm

ABOUT THE DOCUMENTARY (from https://www.iamhumanfilm.com/)

Winner of six awards and four “best feature” honors following its premiere at the 2019 Tribeca Film Festival, I AM HUMAN chronicles the emotional journeys of three real-world humans on the frontlines of receiving jaw-dropping implantable brain interfaces – a paraplegic, blind retiree, and an artist struggling with Parkinson’s.

Through their deeply personal struggles, questions arise: will the same technology that cures disease lead to super human abilities, telepathic communication, and cognitive enhancement? How soon will this technology be on our front doorstep? And as humanity begins marching down a new evolutionary path… are we ready?

From the research lab to the operating table, I AM HUMAN unpacks the emerging complexity and real world possibilities of research that challenges the very essence of what it means to be human.
