Research Assistant Position: Cognitive Neuroscience of Affective Processing

Fall 2026

Using multiple behavioral, neuroimaging and computational approaches our laboratory explores human brain network organization and how genetic variation gives rise to differences that affect behavior, including dysfunction in neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric illness. Responsibilities: May include (but may not be limited to): (1) stimuli quality control; (2) coding/preparing/publishing an online study; (3) assistance with fMRI data collection; (4) coding analyses in R, MATLab, or Python; (5) participant recruitment; and (6) attending regular meetings. Requirements/Expectations: These include (1) up to 10 hours a week; (2) some experience in a coding language; (3) interest in cognitive neuroscience research/interest in pursuing a career in research; and (4) strong communicative abilities. Additional Information: This position is a volunteer position, which means it is not paid. However, this position could satisfy research credits for courses which require it. This position is in person for the Fall Semester of 2026.
